If you are ready to learn more about how Morpheus8 or Fractora can improve your look, request a consultation online with Licensed Aesthetician and Certified Injector Jennifer Geyer, or call our office. We serve patients in Fort Worth, TX and surrounding communities, and we welcome patients who wish to travel from outside the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Both Morpheus8 and Fractora use innovative fractional radiofrequency technology combined with microneedling to deliver a stimulating injury combined with heat. The effect is an acceleration of skin turnover and an increase in skin collagen and elastin which results in skin tightening. These technologies can be used for the following:
Morpheus8 and Fractora treatments offered at our Fort Worth office are safe and effective methods for tightening the skin without some of the risks associated with more invasive procedures or laser treatments. Additionally, these new radiofrequency technologies are safe to use on sensitive skin, as well as all skin types and complexions. The ideal candidate is someone in overall good health with realistic expectations. If severe skin laxity or excess fat is present, Morpheus8 or Fractora may not be the best option. Jennifer will perform a thorough exam at your consultation and help you pick the ideal treatment for your areas of concern. Morpheus8 and Fractora can be used on the following areas:
Both techniques use radiofrequency energy, combined with needling. While they are similar, Fractora works better to improve skin texture and minimize fine lines, while Morpheus8 works to tighten the skin, decrease small fat deposits, and improve contour. The Morpheus8 technology allows for selective penetration of the needles from 1mm to 4mm so it can treat multiple levels of the skin simultaneously. Many patients will benefit from a combination of both Morpheus8 and Fractora treatments for optimal results. This will be discussed with you by Jennifer during your consultation.
Both Morpheus8 and Fractora are performed in the office using topical anesthesia. Some patients will benefit from an oral valium ahead of time. The topical anesthetic is quite powerful and is placed on the areas to be treated 45-60 minutes ahead of time. Additionally, Jennifer has nitrous oxide (laughing gas) available if needed. Treatment time takes between 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the size of the areas to be treated. You feel a slight burning/tingling sensation as well as occasional muscle contractions from the energy.
At the conclusion of the procedure, ointment will be applied, and you will be given instructions on post-treatment care. It is very important to protect the skin and use sun screen during the healing process. You will likely have some redness and mild swelling, as well as some crusting that may last for several days. Most patients note complete resolution of skin changes by 3-5 days. Many patients see visible improvement in their skin quality and texture immediately after treatment, however, optimal results will take several weeks to appear. Additionally, most patients require a sequence of 3-6 treatments staged 3-6 weeks apart to obtain the best result. After a complete treatment, you will notice continued improvement for several months. Also, most patients benefit from a once a year maintenance treatment to help maintain the newly produced collagen.
Both are minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatments that use radiofrequency in combination with microneedling. They differ slightly in how the microneedles enter the skin and how much epidermis is damaged (ablation). Fractora is better suited for skin ablation and textural improvements such as fine lines. Morpheus8 works better for skin tightening, and fat remodeling/contouring. The modalities can be combined safely to obtain best of both technologies.
Almost any area of the body can be treated, including the face, neck, body, arms, and thighs. The treatment is safe, even on very thin areas such as the upper and lower eyelids. The most commonly treated areas include the entire face, neck, inner arms, and thighs/knees.
Morpheus8 and Fractora procedures can improve fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, large pores, surgical scars, loose skin, localized fat deposits, and stretchmarks.
Patients who present with mild to moderate wrinkles, loose skin, scars, and stretchmarks may benefit from radiofrequency microneedling. Patients who are pregnant, have severe medical issues, or active infections should not proceed with treatment. Additionally, you should have realistic expectations for your results.
Each session could last between 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the area treated. Most patients need a series of treatments (3-6) spaced 3-6 weeks apart.
Many patients notice tighter, smoother skin immediately after treatment. Most patients will notice improvement after 2-3 weeks, with continued improvement over the following 3 months.
You will need to avoid direct sunlight and use sunscreen regularly during the first 2 weeks after the procedure. You will also need to keep the treated area most with a hydrating cream for several days after treatment. Once all the crusting is gone, you may begin to wear makeup.
These treatments are very safe for all skin types. Mild side effects are typical and include redness, bruising, swelling, dry/flaky skin, and pinpoint areas of crust and scab. Other complications such as blistering, pain, and change in pigmentation can occur, but are much less common.
