Renuvion
Average Cost: $5000-$15,000
Recovery Time: 3-5 days
Even with a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen, both men and women can be left with stubborn fat deposits and areas of loose skin due to aging, genetics, sun damage, or weight loss. Traditional procedures such as a Tummy Tuck or Brachioplasty (Arm Lift) can be successful at reshaping and tightening the skin, however, not everyone is ready to commit to such invasive procedures or willing to have the requisite scar necessary for extensive skin removal.
Now, with Renuvion, not everyone needs these procedures for surgical-like results. Renuvion for body in Fort Worth is a ground-breaking new technology that allows for near-surgical results, with small incisions and minimal downtime.
If you are ready to learn more about how Renuvion can improve your look, request a consultation online with Dr. Steele, or call our office at 817-731-5330. We offer surgical procedures for patients in Fort Worth, TX and surrounding communities. We also welcome patients who wish to travel from outside the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Benefits of Renuvion
Renuvion uses innovative technology to apply radiofrequency energy to excite helium gas into an ionized plasma that allows for near-instantaneous heating of the subdermal tissue to 85 degrees Celsius, or 185 degrees Fahrenheit. This rapid tissue heating results in lipolysis (busting of fat cells), tightening of the underlying collagen network, and stimulation of new collagen production (neo-collagenesis).
The ruptured fat is then removed with liposuction. As a result of this combination, you are left with improved body contour with tighter skin and only a few small incisions instead of traditional longer scars. Body Renuvion in Fort Worth provides effective contouring and skin tightening for the following areas:
- Hips
- Male breasts
- Upper Arms
- Abdomen
- Bra rolls/Back
- Inner/Outer thighs and knees
- Waist and flanks (love handles)
- Neck/Jowls
Renuvion Technique
Renuvion is typically combined with Liposuction for optimal contouring and is performed in the office using local anesthesia with mild sedation (Valium and Nitrous Oxide, laughing gas). Through small incisions, Dr. Steele will place tumescent solution containing salt water and lidocaine/epinephrine into the areas to be treated. The tumescent solution provides turgor (firmness) to the tissues, lidocaine provides pain relief, and the epinephrine (adrenaline) shrinks the blood vessels to minimize bleeding.
Once the tissues are numb, Dr. Steele uses the Renuvion handpiece to heat the tissues to a predetermined temperature that is optimal for melting fat and tightening the tissues, while minimizing risk of skin burns. After all the areas have been treated with the j-plasma radiofrequency energy, Dr. Steele will remove the excess fat using power-assisted liposuction (PAL). Not every patient will require liposuction, and Renuvion contouring in Fort Worth can be helpful for patients with loose, excess skin in areas like the arms, especially for those patients who are unwilling to accept a long, visible scar.
Dr. Steele may also suggest the additional use of the Morpheus8 radiofrequency microneedling handpiece for additional skin contraction in areas with thin skin, such as the neck, inner arms, inner thighs, lower abdomen, and knees. The ablative Morpheus8 or Fractora tip may also be used to help diminish the presence of stretch marks.
