Benefits of
FaceTite
FaceTite uses innovative technology to apply radiofrequency energy waves internally and externally. The external tissue heating causes dermal tightening and contraction, resulting in improved skin contour and tightness. The internal tissue heating results in lipolysis (busting of fat cells) and tightening of the underlying collagen network. The ruptured fat is then removed with liposuction. As a result of this combination, you are left with contour of the neck and jowl region with very small scars. FaceTite provides effective treatment of the following areas:
- Jowls
- Jawline
- Submental fat (double chin)
- Inner/Outer thighs and knees
- Loose/crepey Neck Skin

FAQs
-
What is FaceTite?
FaceTite is the first FDA-approved device of its kind, using radiofrequency energy to simultaneously heat the internal and external tissues. This minimally invasive technique tightens the skin, melts the fat, and stimulates the production of new collagen for optimal skin contour after the procedure. It is designed to give you the results similar to a facelift without the cost and need for invasive surgery. FaceTite can dramatically improve your neck line, double chin, and sagging jowls.
-
How does FaceTite work?
The FaceTite handpiece uses two probes, one is inserted under the skin into the fatty layer below the skin, and the other probe passes directly over the skin. Radiofrequency waves are passed between the two probes which causes tissue heating to a predetermined temperature designed to melt fat, stimulate collagen, and tighten the skin without burning the tissue. Any melted fat is then removed with a small liposuction cannula. The result is tighter, smoother, younger-looking skin with improved contour.
-
What are the benefits of FaceTite?
FaceTite can provide near-surgical results without the drawbacks of a more invasive face/neck lift procedure. A facelift can take up to 6-7 hours and requires general anesthesia, while the FaceTite procedure is performed under local anesthesia and takes about one hour. Additionally, your recovery is much quicker with very small, inconspicuous scars.
-
Will I have scars after a FaceTite procedure?
Very small incisions (1-2mm) are made to allow the FaceTite handpiece and liposuction cannulas into the fatty areas to remove the fat and tighten the skin. The scars are very small and often hidden in natural creases and shadows. It is likely that nobody will notice these small, faint scars unless they are pointed out to them.
-
Am I a good candidate for FaceTite?
Almost anyone struggling with sagging, loose facial or neck tissue will make a good candidate for FaceTite. You should be in good health, understand the procedure, and have realistic expectations for your result.
-
What areas can be treated?
FaceTite is a versatile treatment option that is quite effective at treating loose skin and excess fat in the cheeks, jowls, and submental (under the chin) region.
-
Is FaceTite painful?
FaceTite is very well tolerated with mild oral sedation and local anesthesia. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is available as well to help ensure complete patient comfort.
-
What is the recovery like; when can I return to work?
FaceTite is a well-tolerated, outpatient procedure performed in Dr. Steele’s office under local anesthesia with mild sedation. It is normal to see swelling, and possibly some bruising as well some mild pinpoint areas of crusting. You may have some mild due to the inflammation that responds well to non-narcotic pain medications. You will be placed into a neck compression garment that is worn 24/7 for 3 days and then at night for 2 weeks. Most patients can return to work in 2-4 days. You should avoid cardio or strenuous exercise for about 3 weeks.
-
Is the treatment permanent? How long will the results last?
Depending on the individual, your FaceTite results will last for many years. It is important to realize that your skin will continue to age due to sun damage, smoking, genetics, and the natural aging process. Skin care and radiofrequency microneedling with the Morpheus 8/Fractora handpieces can help maintain your results.
-
When will I see my final results?
You will notice some improvement immediately after surgery; however, typical bruising and swelling will camouflage your final contour for several months. It is important to wear the compression garment as instructed by Dr. Steele to facilitate resolution of your swelling and skin contraction. You will gradually notice improvement as the swelling goes away, but it will take 3-6 months to see the final result. Additionally, you will continue to notice skin tightening for 6-12 months after the procedure.
